US, 2017 (ongoing)
"Chuecxs" (working title) is a multimedia project with a focus on participatory storytelling that seeks to address the experience of being brown and queer in the US, from a layered intersection between diverse voices and perspectives. This project is, profoundly, both hybrid and collaborative, an attempt to explore experiences of otherness and cultural legacy, as well as political silences, both historical and ongoing. This research-based work will combine video, photo, audio, and archival footage to explore how the legacy of political silence shapes subjective, individual experiences of race, gender and resistance. Solo project that I'm developing with the support of the NYFA' Immigrant Artist Mentoring Program.
